Amazing Events is fully aware of the importance to protect the environment and the areas where we operate our equipment at. We have a dedicated programme in place to reduce our carbon emissions with a target reduction of 40% by the 19th June 2020.
We are continually aiming to reduce the impact of our business on the environment by taking effective measures to improve the efficiency of our rides, vehicles, and generators.
Our funfairs operate in a number of Britain’s most prestigious parks, and stately homes. We make every possible effort to take care of grassed areas, delicate paving, and special features, when moving, and parking our vehicles.
In 2013 the first hybrid system was fitted to our haulage van. During transportation the hybrid stores the vans kinetic energy into its battery bank. The stored power can then be used to operate the children’s ride or attraction. This system eliminates the use of a generator and fossil fuels.
OUR SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY IS FOUNDED ON FIVE POSITIVE OUTCOMES:
By 2018 we aim to have changed all our halogen lights to sodium and all our standard lamps (over 10,000 of them!) to LED’s.
By 2016 we aim to have fitted particulate exhaust filters on all our generators in our attempt to reduce soot and emissions.
Our vehicles are the heartbeat of our business. However we understand the importance to update our vehicles with more fuel efficient and less polluting engines. We aim to achieve this by 2017.
We aim to have adapted all our generators & vehicles to run on Bio fuels as an alternative to standard diesel by 2016.
All of the merchandise and consumables brought at our fairs, events & shows are biodegradable. We also implement special mobile recycling stations to accommodate our policy.
